Published 2 months ago in Making News.Putting prices up to stop underage drinking won’t help, we will just get the cheapest bottles/casks we can and mix with soft drink, we get the stuff from friends, family, who ever we can that aint gunner change, cheers, beeerrp.

Exactly. And while pre-mixed alcopops had the number of standard drinks written on them, drinks we mix ourselves don’t, so it’s much harder to keep track of how much we’re drinking.
It really annoys me that they’d put up the prices on the drinks rather than making it mandatory to ask customers under 30 to show ID. I’m a young ‘un and I’ve never, ever been asked for ID when buying alcohol.
Let’s all raise our glasses in a toast to the price rise and get absolutely wasted!
yeah, its really just more money for the government to take. But, The determined like yourself will just drink whatever anyway. But the slackers who cant be bothered making there own , thats who its aimed at. Just to make it that bit harder. I have to admit those breezers really are very easy to drink one after the other. Its like lolly water.
I think the whole tax on lolly-drinks thing has been blown way out of proportion. They are just making the tax on them, the same as the tax on other alcoholic drinks, aren’t they? Isn’t that fair and reasonable? Any spin on it that its ‘meant to curb binge drinking’ is just a joke.
